Francisco Taveira Pinto, FEUP · ICS · CIIMAR
Full Professor of Hydraulics, Water Resources and Environmental Engineering at the Department of Civil and Georesources Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. Obtained his PhD in 2002 and his Habilitation in 2007, becoming Full Professor in 2010. Currently serves as Department Director and coordinates the Hydraulics, Water Resources and Environment Unit. His research focuses on maritime hydraulics, coastal engineering, and marine renewable energy. He has authored over 440 publications and led numerous national and European R&D projects. He has also held prominent roles in international organizations, including the International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research, contributing extensively to the advancement of coastal and hydraulic engineering Worldwide.

Tiago Fazeres Ferradosa, FEUP · ICS · CIIMAR
Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) and member of the Executive Committee of the Civil and Georesources Engineering Department and member of the Department’s Council. He leads the R&D unit Offshore Structures & Foundations within the Hydraulic Structures and Marine Energy research group. His research is dedicated to scour and scour protections. Has been actively involved in numerous international R&D projects in offshore and coastal engineering and marine renewable energy, including MARINET, HYDRALAB+, ORACLE, POSEIDON, SEACARE and more than 50 consultancy projects in marine, fluvial and urban hydraulics. He has authored more than 90 peer-reviewed journal papers and yields and h-index of 23. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of Maritime Engineering, Deputy Editor of Ocean Engineering and yielded several leadership roles within IAHR and APRH, including the Europe Leadership Division and the Presidency of the Specialized Commission on Water and Energy. He received several honours including the Best PhD Thesis APRH award, Young Researcher JMSE award and the Halcrow Prize Award (ICE).

Paulo Rosa Santos, FEUP · ICS · CIIMAR
Full Professor at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) and an Integrated Researcher at the Interdisciplinary Centre of Marine and Environmental Research (CIIMAR). He graduated in Civil Engineering in 2003, obtained his PhD in 2010, and completed his Habilitation in 2021, becoming Full Professor in 2025. His research focuses on physical and numerical modelling applied to coastal, port and offshore engineering, particularly marine renewable energy, wave energy, breakwaters, mooring structures, climate change and coastal protection. He is also active in urban hydraulics, hydrology and water resources. A Senior Member and Specialist of the Portuguese Engineers Association, he has participated in more than 45 consultancy projects and over 18 national and international R&D projects, coordinating major initiatives such as WEC4Ports and ATLANTIDA. He has authored more than 175 scientific publications and actively contributes to several international journals and conferences.
